Proactive Programs
Attention Runners! A program for individuals, families, community groups or school teams. Attention Runners! is being developed for students and who exhibitbehavior consistent with Attention Deficit Disorder(ADD) or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). The effectiveness of the program is enhanced due to the fact that coaches are NOT PE teachers and don't even have to be athletes!  Parents of ADHD kids coach and build the team. 

The program focus  is on mindfulness,exercise, nutrition, restful sleep, goal setting and team building addresses a wide variety of other issues such as: Anxiety, Depression, Eating Disorders and Social Skills.

Asperger's and NLD Social Skills:  this group is an ongoing group for children (4th - 6th grade_ who exhibit characteristics consistent with Asperger's or Noverbal Learning Disabilities.  The group focuses on both the skills for relating and actually relating to others.  An 8 week commitment is required for new group members.  After the 8 weeks, children may attend on a as-needed basis and participate in Web forum support. Coming in 2009 LEGO therapy with AS groups!!

The Social Drama:  This program was develped  by Dr. Travis and Anne Curtis, a Registered Drama Therapist.  The group is for girls ages 14 and older.  The Social Drama uses stories, music, art, drama, humor and discussion. The group is dedicated to strengthening young women and assisting them as the find their own values and strengths.

It encourages young women to see other females as allies and partners (not competition) on the journey through middle and high school.  An 8 week commitment is required for new group members, after that the girls may attend on as as-needed basis and participate in Web Forum support.
